I think some people stood up to the Nazis's because they felt bad for them and they didn't want that to continue. Esperanza Rising

        Esperanza Rising Summary:

So far in my book their is a little girl name Esperanza, is she 6 years old and she love to walk with her father through the winding rows.They live in Mexico. She was the only child. Her dad name is Sixto Ortega her mom name is Ramona Ortega and a grandmother. Esperanza has 3 best friend name Marisol Rodriguez, Chita,and Bertina.

6 years later, when the gapes delivered their harvest, she always turned another year. This year, she with be 13 years old. The picking would take 3 weeks and then, her mom and dad will host a party for the harvest and for her birthday. Esperanza best friend will come with her family and celebrate her birthday and harvest. Her other friends, Chita and Bertina can’t make is because they live to far. Once Esperanza and her friend Marisol got together, they only talk about there Quiceanera. 

Esperanza father and more people went out to gather fruits, it was in the middle of the night and her father hasn’t came back. Her father always come home before the sun goes down. So her mother ask her father's two brother Luis and Marco to go and look for him,and they came back with bad news. They said “the only thing that we found was his black buckle”. They found him, he hung himself in a tree. Esperanza and her mother broke down crying. The next day was Esperanza birthday and they did not  do nothing.

Esperanza father’s brother, Luis want to marry Esperanza mother, and she said no. Now Luis is going to make everything difficult, because Esperanza mother said no. So Esperanza mother is thinking about moving to the United States and getting a better job there. Esperanza father got her a doll for her birthday, and that doll she took it a squeeze it really tight and ask herself two question and they were, “Why did Papa have to die? Why did he leave me and Mama?

Esperanza was shaking, she was having a bad dreaming and for instant, she felt relieved. But the shaking began again, harder this time, and she work up and that was her mom. She said “the house is on fire!!”. Her grandmother was stuck in side the house but one of Esperanza friends found her and carrying her out the house. The person that did that was Luis and Esperanza mother got made, and all that she could think of where should she go. So Luis came and he said “I’m giving you one more chance, if you reconsider my proposal, I will build a bigger, more beautiful house, and I will replant everything”, and she said “yes”. So Esperanza mother made a plan, she will say yes to Luis, but once a few day go bye we will escaped to California.

They have left Mexico and off to California.  

The Genre/Character Traits:

The Genre of this book is realistic fiction. I say that because Esperanza live in a house, and she has family and friends. The character, Esperanza is a brave young girl. I say that because, when her mom was escaping from Mexico to go to California. She stood brave and she just went with the flow.

The article that I read is called "Call of Duty". Its about a guy name Jose and a dog name Zenit.

Zenit and Jose is in war. The reason why Zenit is in war because they need a dog to sniff for bombs. One day they went out to see where is the bombs, but Jose has step on a bomb. He lose his two legs. He almost died, he had lost a lot of blood and he had to get out of the war. Jose was only thinking about Zenit when he was at home. Jose wonder how Zenit was doing. Jose wants his dog. So he try to get his dog and he did. What I think about this article is good but at the same time bad. I say that because Jose had lost his two legs and kid say that is he is a transformer, but Jose just goes with the flow and said "that what happen if you don't eat your vegetables". People say that a guy best friend is a dog, and I think that is true. Zenit is Jose best friend.

Summary

The book that I'm reading is called "Middle School My Brother Is A Big Fat Liar." In the book  there is an kid name Rafe Khatchadorian. He is going to 6th grade and he does not like it. He thinks that "its a prison for Pilgrims back then, but not too much has changed". Rafe has a sister Georgia. They fight sometime for little things. Rafe is bore with 6th grade at first, but as the weeks goes by he is getting to know people. Right now is the book he has a friend name Leonardo, they do everything together. To me I think that they are more like best friends. At the end of the book Rafe likes 6th grade. He had a lot of friend and he didn't get in trouble as much as he use too. What I think about this book is good because you never know what on the other side. What I mean by that is to never give up and finish what you started.

The point of view:

The point of view is the first person. I say that because it says a lot of me, my, and I.
For example its said "I wonder how you did".  There is an I is that sentence . "I bet you can't wait to open it up and see"!  So the point of view in this story is the first person

Derek has been having hard time in school because his father is never there for Derek.  His father has been flying helicopters in Afghanistan,  Deriks dad has been sending him letters for he can know how his dad os doing,  Derik loves comic books about superhoero and zombies. sometimes he use to share it with Bigie.  Bigie is Deriks big best friend Derik just turned 11 years old and he thinks his life is going bad for him he learned that his dad's helicopter has shot down and hid dad didn't survive. everything changed for Derik what i think about this book is that it is good because it gives a reader a nice look into the mind of a bully making what he does understandable but without forgetting it derrick

In the story “The Saturday boy” the little boy is talking.

The reason I say that is because it says a lot of I, me and my.

For example the little bot said said “my dad is in a war and I don’t have time to spend time with him”.

What I think about the kid is that he is an brave kid because he does not have an dad to be there for him. He alway done everything by himself.

Lemon Brown Summary

The story takes place in Harlem in an abandoned building. His father won't let him play basketball with the Scorpions unless he does well in school. Greg's father thinks that getting a good report card is important. Greg doesn't want to hear his father lecture him about his bad grades, and he wants to play basketball no matter what. His point changes when he realizes that he should try not to get angry but listen to his father because his father wants what is best for him. Lemon Brown helps Greg come to this reason why he should be thankful for having a father. When Lemon Brown gave his treasure to his son, he kept the treasure with him at all times no matter what. Lemon Brown helps Greg understand how a father feels, and this makes it possible for Greg to understand his own father. At the end of the story Greg smiles because he has evaluated the situation and decided that his father is worth listening to and he should not get angry with him. Greg goes home knowing he will have to listen to his father's lecture. However, he is now ready to listen to his father's advice.

The book the that I read is called the "The Fault In Our Stars." It is about a girl name Hazel who got cancer in her lungs when she was 6-years-old. She was going to a support group to meet people. She meet a kid name Isaac. Isaac had cancer in his eyes. A few week later Hazel meet other boy. His name was Augustus Waters. He had cancer allover his body and he had loss an leg because of the cancer. Hazel and Augustus became very good friends. They talk about how did they got cancer and when did the got cancer and more stuff. Hazel gave him one of her favorites book It's an Imperial Affliction by Peter Van Houton and he read it . After a few weeks later they became boyfriend and girlfriends. At the ending of the book Hazel passes alway because of the cancer and Augustus did not know what do with out her. The thing that I like about this book is that Hazel is a brave young girl and nothing cant stop her. The Theme of this book is that a girl name Hazel in her lungs and a boy name Augustus who has cancer also. The main idea of this book is to never give up.  You have to be brave no matter what.
