4Q #7 "Trouble", Summary

Summary

Henry’s little sister Louisa wanted to climb the Katahdin. What had begun as a quest to simply prove his own worthiness in his brother's memory becomes an struggle of far greater weight for Henry, as he recognizes that, his father's teaching that "if you build your house far enough away from Trouble, then Trouble will never find you," Trouble is an necessary part of living. Through his experiences on the journey. I think that Henry learned that, in order to live well, one must learn to "live where Trouble is," and he yet climbs Katahdin in search of the strength within himself to do just that.

As I was reading my book. There was a flash back. In the bing of this book, Henry’s father said, “if you build your house far enough away from Trouble, then Trouble will never find you”. And at the ending of this book. I know this because, in the book it states. Henry had a flash back of his father saying "if you build your house far enough away from Trouble, then Trouble will never find you”. This proves that Henry was thinking about his father saying trouble is everywhere, no matter where you go. 

4Q #7 "Trouble", Summary

Summary

Franklin had planned to climb Katahdin, the dangerous mountain peak in neighboring Maine, with his younger brother. When Franklin dies, Henry will climb alone in his for he can have memories of his brother Franklin, but as it turns out.  His best friend, Sanborn Brigham, want to be allowed to tag along, and through their closeness during the course of their travels, Henry learns of the deep sadness that comes from having parents who will always give a child everything he could want, but a lot of things remain completely different to him. Henry's second buddy on the journey is someone for whom he at first has nothing but dislike, a young Cambodian settler named Chay Chouan, who was the driver of that that killed Franklin. At first unaware of the identity of the boy whom fate has so came back again into his life, Henry comes to recognize the quiet greatness and strength of Chay, who has lost everything, including family and home, through war and loving an American girl.

As I was reading my book. There was a memory moment. Henry anted to climb the monument that Franklin wanted to climb. No one has never climb it. They say that “If you climb it, you will never come back alive.” I know that this is a memory moment because the book it states, "I want to climb the mouton  for I can make my brother proud”.

4Q #6 "Trouble", Summary

Summary

When they got to the court house, Louisa was still crying. Henry went to go sit with her because he felt bad for her. Henry was trying to talk to her. As he was trying to talk to her, Louisa was still crying. Henry said “Do you remember watching The Wizard of Oz?” Louisa looked at Henry with a big smile and said “yes”. They say “Oz” to know that every things okay, but they know that everything is not okay. The judge walked in the room that Henry, Louisa, and their mom and dad was in and the judge said “This is the pretrial hearing for the People versus Chay Chouan, on the charges of aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident.” Chay Chouan was the one that fit Franklin when he was running. This is why Henry family is at the court house. Chay Chouan fit Franklin because he feel asleep when he was driving. Chay Chouan hurt Franklin really bad and Judge thinks that Franklin will not survive and Henry thinks the same thing but he does not want to say it. Henry is thinking about all the good time that he had with Franklin. He does not know what he will do with out his bigger brother. 

As read there was a memory moment. Henry and Louisa had a memory moment. They had a memory of them watching the movie the “Oz”. Henry use to hold  Louisa hand u hide under the blankets whenever the Wicked Witch comes. And they waited until the music changed. And when it did, that means Dorothy and Toto were back on the Yellow Brick Road again. I know this because in the book it states “Do you remember watching The Wizard of Oz?” This shows that Henry was trying to get Louisa happy by reminding her about watching The Wizard of Oz.

4Q #6 "Trouble", Summary

Summary

It was  a storm throughout the whole chapter 4. Henry was looking for his mom outside the house. He did not find her, so he went outside to go look. He found her outside looking at something. As soon as Henry walked over to his mom. He seen "most of the beach within the cove was gone. Close in, the black boudoirs had been torn down into a jumble. Between them and the far end of the cove, only a small strip of sand remained. And a the far end lay uncovered the framing and decking of an old ruined ship.” Henry walked to the ship with his mother to check it out. "Mrs. Smith gave Henry this cautionary news, he had to talk about it all over Whittier Academy, and Mr. DiSalva was so excited that he was already planning a Whittier field trip to Salvage Cove.” Reporters want to make an interview about Henry about the ship, but hi mom said no to the reporters.  Henry and his family had to go to Manchester courthouse and Chay Chouan’s, because he was by the boat and the boat was not his property. Louisa did not want to going, she have not been out her room ever seems her old brother Franklin’s  accident.

As I'm reading, I can see that this family is going thought a lot. I know this because  Louisa does not want to come out of her room ever since Franklin's accident. Franklin had an accident and lose one of his arm. And Henry's family have to go to Manchester courthouse and Chay Chouan’s, because he was by the boat and the boat was not his property. I know this family is going thought a lot because they book states "His father, in the front passenger seat, was staring blankly out the window. Louise, next to Henry, was pressed against the seat and already crying silently." Just by this sentence this shows that not only they are going thought a lot, they are really sad and depressed.
